Sapphic Saturday Announcement

Hi, friends! It’s time to announce the next date for the Sapphic Saturday readathon! We have also included the stats from the October readathon at the end of this post, as well as the link the November Google form.

This month, the readathon will take place on November 14th!

As always, the readathon will begin at 12 AM in your timezone and end at 12 AM on November 15th also in your timezone. If you’re new to the readathon and want a little more information, here’s what you should know:

Where can I talk about the readathon while it’s happening?

Twitter & Instagram! You can also create TBR posts on your blog if you’d like, or reading vlogs on YouTube if you’re a booktuber! We love seeing everyone’s TBR lists, pretty book pictures, and keeping up with your progress throughout! If you do post anywhere and tag us or use the #SapphicSaturday hashtag, we’ll repost/retweet/etc. (unless you ask us not to of course). We want to interact with you all as much as possible over the course of the readathon, so feel free to post about your progress anywhere that suits you (:

What should I read?

Anything sapphic! Here we also want to remind you that there are no limitations to sapphic characters. Nonbinary individuals who say that they are sapphic? Sapphic. Bi girls dating a guy? Sapphic. Sapphic is a broad term used by a lot of people and we want to remind you that this readathon is not limited to only WLW books.

Now that we’ve said what we needed to say on that, if you’re looking for some specific recommendations for books to read, we encourage you to check out any of the following:

Most of the submissions to the readathon form indicated that they were using the bingo card, so we’ve made another one but with different prompts (besides a few we kept like read a YA or Own Voices book). There are four versions of the bingo card, and you are welcome to use whichever one you’d like to track your progress throughout the readathon:

October’s Stats & November’s Google Form

Last month, we had 11 completed books submitted to our form. This included 3,007 pages read (no audiobook minutes were reported).

We announced last month that we made changes to the Google form for the readathon, and those changes are still in full effect! If you’d like to read up on what we changed, check that post out here. This month’s Google form for you to submit your reads is below:
