Sapphic Saturday started in August of 2019 as a monthly (and occasionally bi-monthly) 24 hour readathon dedicated entirely to reading sapphic content. After a year of hosting these readathons on Twitter, we decided to co-host this blog together so that we could have a place for all of our Sapphic Saturday content, as well as to be able to randomly ramble about sapphic books (as we tend to do).

Hi, friends!! My name is Arin and I’m an almost 20 year old lesbian book blogger from a small town in Virginia. I am in college studying history and education in the hopes of one day becoming a teacher. I currently work as a nanny/babysitter/tutor hybrid type of thing for a group of elementary schoolers. Whenever I have free time, I am reading sapphic books, listening to audiobooks, drafting blog posts, or watching Netflix. Hi friends! I’m Brittany, a 23-year-old bi girl from North Carolina, US who loves to read. I am currently an undergrad student set to graduate with a BA in English Literature in December 2020! I previously ran a blog called brittanythebookguru, and although I am no longer active there, I’ve remained a member of the book community because getting to talk about books with other readers is one of my favorite things to do! I read YA and New Adult primarily, with contemporary and realistic fiction being my most commonly read genres! I love mysteries and thrillers as well, but I’m honestly willing to pick up just about anything if it sounds interesting enough.
